A Program Idea

Santa Clara Valley Branch President, Judy Bligh did something quite simple for their July program. She asked each person to tell everyone what was happening in his or her garden that month. The heat was upon us so there was lots of discussion of heat related problems, but we also talked about fertilizers, containers, favorite cultivars and “tricks of the trade”. With about fifteen people at the meeting, everyone had a chance to share. Elsie Sydnor
I hope to incorporate this idea in San Jose Branch meetings next year, asking three or four people each month to tell us about the state of their gardens at that time.
