The purpose of the American Fuchsia Society is to acquaint flower enthusiasts about the beauty of fuchsias and the techniques to grow healthy blooming plants. The mission of the society is furthered by local branches or clubs and the publication of a quarterly bulletin with varied and interesting articles. Branches or clubs hold monthly meetings, always with speakers, on various aspects of growing fuchsias. Visitors are always encouraged to come and learn more about growing fuchsias in a very social atmosphere.
The American Fuchsia Society has members world-wide. There are Branches/clubs from San Jose, California to Salem, Oregon. Most of the branches are located in the San Francisco Bay Area as the organization was first started in 1929 at Berkeley, California.
