AFS Board Meeting
"Highlights"
By Rodney Bergquist

Question? Would you consider becoming an AFS Board member and participate in AFS Board meetings, if you could do so without leaving home? The AFS Board of Directors is planing to experiment with Skype.com using an inexpensive $10.00 computer microphone which will allows several board members to logon via their computer connections and discuss various board meeting topics. The AFS President would coordinate the agenda discussion topics and then members that are logged on to the board meeting would listen to what’s being said and then take turns giving their recommendations or comments. We see this as an opportunity to broaden our AFS Board membership from the San Francisco Bay area to our Salem Branch which is in Oregon 520 miles away. Think about it. The concept eliminates, driving time to and from meetings plus you save the cost of gas. It allows all AFS members to participate from home.
