DID YOU KNOW!
By Dorothy Erickson

When I started propagating my fuchsia cuttings last spring (2007), I couldn’t find the jar of“Rootone” to get them off to a
good start. I remembered I had read sometime back – I think it was in “Martha Stewart’s Living” magazine, that Cinnamon could be used to start plant cuttings.

So, I put about a half tablespoon in a glass, dipped the freshly cut end in the dry cinnamon, and started 72 cuttings. I was pleased and amazed to see, 7 – 10 days later, many little white roots showing on the edge of each plug. Not a one was lost. So, I would say, don’t be afraid to try something new.
