AFS International Registration Team

This particular issue of our bulletin has a lot of detailed information that hybridizers submitted on application forms to the
American Fuchsia Society, requesting their new fuchsia be registered with AFS. Can you imagine yourself reviewing all of the detailed descriptions listed in this bulletin? That’s why at a very minimum, we need to acknowledge the team effort of the individuals that year after year, review the application forms for accuracy and readability, translate from various languages, then typed, to make up the new 2007 registrations listed in this bulletin.

Our American Fuchsia Society, International Registrar, Ed Salome has been processing new registration applications since 1999. He has been aided by Assistant Registrar, Simonne Gijsels, in Belgium. Simonne reviews the European applications for completeness, accuracy and legibility. Leon Pauwels, who hosted Ed and Judy Salome during their visit to Belgium last year, actually completes the forms for a large number of European Hybridizers.

He also has been a great help. Jean Durbin, member of the Eureka Branch, has been assisting Ed since 2005. She helped develop the 2006 and 2007 descriptions. Also included in the picture is Judy Salome who has been maintaining AFS membership records since 1993.
